“If Cody’s character is a vessel for his worldview, then Allison Sonson turns her into flesh and bone. What she creates is ultimately a masterpiece.”
- filmmaker Daniel de Bruyn on Allison in “My Submission”
Allison Sonson is a New York based actor. Originally from Hockessin, Delaware, she began acting at the age of five doing musical theatre. Eager to learn everything about her calling, she moved to New York. Allison found her home at Maggie Flanigan Studio and graduated from the two-year Conservatory Program, where she trained in the Meisner Technique.
Allison appeared most notably in the one-woman arthouse feature film, My Submission, which premiered at Film Noir Cinema, NY in January 2026 to critical acclaim. In February 2026, Allison made her New York stage debut as Gwendolen in “The Importance of Being Gay” at the Producers Club.
UPCOMING projects!
Allison got signed by Ruth Gravity Artists in April 2026. She also just graduated from the well-renowned clown summer workshop, Ecole Philippe Gaulier, in France. While abroad, Allison performed a piece from Franklin the Turtle, her one woman show, in London. Allison is currently rehearsing Franklin the Turtle for her upcoming production at The Tank, August 9 and 10. She is very excited to bring as many eyes as possible to show the humanity of the extremes behind drug addiction and increase education on overdose prevention to save more lives. When not auditioning or rehearsing her solo show, Allison is working with Jon Shear in his On-Camera Technique class(or dancing in her room, reading Shakespeare, anything that keeps her art/ambition alive). (i think that’s it..)
